Animal Welfare

One of the IEC’s key aims is to encourage improvements for the welfare of laying hens. The IEC has an ongoing series of initiatives to provide leadership and continual progress in both developed and developing countries.

Animal Welfare Seminar - Amsterdam 2005

The IEC organised and hosted an International Seminar on Animal Welfare in Amsterdam on September 22nd 2005. The seminar was lead by three international experts, Dr Jeff Armstrong (Michigan State University, USA), Peter van Horne (University of Wageninen, The Netherlands) and Andrea Gavinelli (European Commission) with industry presentations from both North and South America, Europe, Australasia and Africa.
