Dress Code / Clothing Suggestions

Chairman's Welcome Reception & Conference Sessions
Business suits are recommended for the Chairman's Welcome Reception on Sunday, 19th September and for all conference sessions during the week.

Welcome Dinner - Smetana Hall
Although the Welcome Dinner is traditionally a non-formal event, this year we are holding this event in Smetana Hall, a grand hall in the Municipal house in central Prague, and while smart casual clothes are accepted for this event on Monday, 20th September, you may prefer to dress more formally for this occasion.

All Delegates' Tour – Prague Castle District
Most of the Prague Castle District is paved with cobbled stones and therefore we strongly recommend sensible and comfortable footwear for the All Delegates’ Tour to this area on Wednesday, 22nd September.  Areas of the Castle District are also outdoors and so we also suggest having a waterproof coat & umbrella with you – just in case.

Gala Banquet – Zofin Palace
The Gala Banquet on Thursday, 23rd September is a formal event and the preferred option is for Black Tie or National Dress (although this is not compulsory by any means).

Please Note: Prague has many streets that are cobbled and so sensible and comfortable footwear is important.

Prague Climate in September

Prague has a continental climate with hot summers and cold winters.  Probably the best time to visit Prague is around May and September when the weather is not too hot or too cold and the city is not overcrowded.  The average high temperature from May to September is 22°C (72°F) and the average low is 12°C (54°F), with an average of 7 hours of sunshine.
