Egg Farmers of Canada

Egg Farmers of Canada is the national organisation that represents Canada’s more than 1,200 regulated egg farmers in all ten provinces and the Northwest Territories. They manage the supply of eggs, promote eggs and develop standards for egg farming in Canada. The organisation strives to maintain a sustainable and thriving Canadian egg industry, now and for future generations.

Their farmers produce over 829 million dozen eggs annually to meet growing consumer demand. A strong industry makes it possible for their farmers to make long-term investments in on-farm efficiencies and drive innovation through research. Their farmers work together to supply Canadians with locally produced eggs, and their sector supports thousands of Canadian jobs, sustains vibrant rural communities and contributes to a strong domestic food system.

Egg Farmers of Canada are proud to inspire the next generation of industry leaders through their national young farmer program and women in the egg industry program.
